Freedomfest 2012!!!!

A local church was hosting a festival for the community and one of the band's that was there was Kutless! Great music! The kid's had a blast! Ashton was amazed with the army tanks and even got to climb to the top of them!  Later we went to a magic show and then got to listen to Brian Kinder sing "Those blinking lights"! Him and his wife sing children songs, so it was mostly for Ashton, but we all had fun!!!  

New Cheetah Post!

 Being zoo members has its advantages!  The kid's and I went to an event that they were having and got to see the opening of the Cheetah post! It was a neat experience even though we had to stand in line for an 1hr, it was defintely worth it! Afterwards, they were even giving away hotdogs and chips! Like I said, definitely worth it! ;)

4th of July!

 Every year our neighborhood has a firework show and this year it was AWESOME! I didn't take many pic's but here's a few that I did!

Abigale's 12th B-Day!

For Abby's B-Day we took her out to eat at La Hacienda! She was having a good time until the waiters came out and sung to her. We thought they would just sing but, she got a sombero and her pic taken as well!

I love having a teenager that can babysit every once in a while! Just went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner and then headed to Shakey's for dessert! Mmmmmmm :)

Beach Camp 2012!

Today has finally came and Austin is heading to Daytona Beach with the youth ministries at our church! He has been waiting and waiting for this trip and its finally here.  They are going to be listening to some great speakers as well as spending time in God's word!  They will get to enjoy some fellowship time together and I'm praying for this time to stir their hearts and refresh their souls!  Something that I believe we all desperately need!

My Preteen!

Tonight we took Abby to pick out her birthday gift from all of us.  She has been giving us some hints, for the past several months, of what she wants so Scott decides to play a little trick on her when we got to the store! As we were walking back to the electronics, she has a HUGE smile on her face that says I know exactly what I'm getting! We walked right up to the DS games and said pick any game you want out!  She was trying not to show it, but she was very confused! Huh = {:^O We even went as far as getting the person to open the game case.......  Until Scott says "Oh yeah, I just remembered what you've been asking for......an IPOD!!!! The pictures tell the rest.

Abigales's 12th Birthday Party!

We had Abby's party a few weeks early this year. Her actual birthday is June 27th, but usually around that time people are on vacations.  The weather was beautiful and we had it later in the day, so it wasn't too hot!!! She invited some girls from school and church and afterwards had a sleepover!  Thank GOODNESS its only once a year! This year, one of Abigale's friends decided to put ice down her swim bottoms and another friend smashes a piece of cake in her face!  It was definitely a birthday to remember!

2012 Camp Jam

This past week was Camp Jam! Every summer, our church spends a week full of fun activities for the kid's at a christian day camp. The kid's had so much fun!  It was Abby's last year, so next time she goes, she will be helping out.  Its all work and no play then! ;) Scott was able to come and hangout Friday with us! The lesson this year was called "Dead last".   Mark 10-31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first."

 When you think about it, our culture says put yourself first and always watch out for yourself.  Actually, its harder to do the opposite and put others first. But that's what we are called to do.
